What is Kundalini Yoga?

Trained by the French Federation of Kundalini Yoga, I have 30 years of personal practice, and I have been teaching this discipline at Les Coqs Rouges, in downtown Bordeaux, since 2005.
KUNDALINI YOGA is a very powerful and energetic form of yoga. Although it is the oldest form of yoga, its techniques continue to evolve, allowing us to cultivate the inner qualities needed to navigate the complex and ever-changing world in which we live today.
In my classes, I teach new sequences that precisely match the energies we need right now to stay centered and aligned during these times of great collective upheaval.

By deeply regulating the nervous system and working to gradually awaken the flow of energy throughout our entire system, Kundalini Yoga connects us to our inner resources and facilitates the fulfillment and growth of all aspects of our being (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual).

Kundalini Yoga is a very comprehensive practice that combines postures, movements, and breathing techniques, while also incorporating relaxation, mantra chanting, and meditation. Its simple and accessible practice yields rapid results and profound changes.

The Benefits of Kundalini Yoga

  • On a psychological level: it provides techniques for calming the mind, transforming negativity, purifying the subconscious, regaining focus, and restoring inner peace.
  • On a physical and energetic level: it purifies internal energy and enhances its flow to restore balance and develop a higher level of internal coherence. By acting on all the organs, the glandular system, the endocrine system, the nervous system, and brain functions, it promotes better health and greater vitality.
  • Emotionally: It helps transform negative emotions and restore a sense of calm. By working to eliminate stress and deeply regenerate the nervous system, it also helps you gain perspective on your emotions, allowing you to experience a greater sense of inner balance.
  • On a spiritual level: This form of yoga works to raise our level of consciousness; it fosters alignment with our inner self and our core values. It also has the potential to open us up to recognizing our true nature.

A few testimonials from practitioners

For me, yoga is about discovering multiple possible sources of greater well-being.

Anne

I'm coming out of my Kundalini session. It's nighttime. Rain is falling. I feel a sense of inner joy. It's as if I've just reconnected with an old friend I hadn't seen in a long time. The session focused on breathing and physical exercises, moments of meditation and relaxation. I feel good, at peace. The worries of life, the ones I had left behind, then brought to the mat, the concerns that plagued my thoughts, have not disappeared. They seem different to me, more distant, less serious, as if transformed. What happened?

A feeling of unity between my body and mind sets in for a few hours.

I'll be back, that's for sure. I need to reconnect with that feeling, to experience that liberation. It's as if a part of myself has become accessible.

I feel the well-being of reconciliation, the pressure has eased. I breathe more deeply. I feel my body oxygenated, as if freer. I compare the practice of kundalini to a complete treatment that relieves the mind through the body. The effects are profound and lasting. No ready-made solutions or magic formulas are offered, just regular practice. A lived experience that opens a path to oneself and to others.

For me, Kundalini Yoga is now an integral part of my lifestyle. I see this practice as a mental and physical cleansing. A kind of inner shower that removes impurities and negative thoughts that serve no purpose. I have found that regular practice prevents low moods and excessive melancholy. I couldn't do without this practice, which contributes greatly to my physical and mental well-being.

Michael

After nearly 10 years of practicing Kundalini Yoga, here are my thoughts:

  • A certain grounding and improved physical stability
  • Better channeling of energy by feeling less scattered
  • Enormous inner strength, especially when practicing the exercises daily for 120 days
  • A feeling of inner peace, like an unchanging wallpaper, despite the ups and downs of life.
  • And finally, a greater sense of openness and tolerance than before

Thank you, in any case, for accompanying me all these years and enriching my life.

Marie B.
